About Football Betting

We are an independent UK site covering football betting. We test the bookmakers, model the fixtures and publish what we find. The working is always shown: you should never have to take a rating on trust.

What We Do

Football Betting exists to answer two questions well. Which bookmaker deserves your custom, and which bet carries value this weekend? Everything on the site serves one of those two ends.

On the bookmaker side, we open real accounts and place real bets. We log closing prices across hundreds of markets, time every withdrawal and read the small print on every offer. Value comes before marketing, always. On the tipping side, a goals model prices each fixture and only flags a bet when the market price is too generous.

We write in plain English for UK punters. No jargon walls, no hype, no fake urgency. If an offer is mediocre, we say so. If a site is slow to pay, that goes in the review too.

The Team

Dan Fletcher leads our operator reviews. A former trader with a decade following the EFL, he handles the hands-on testing, the deposits, the withdrawals and the late-night cash-outs that reveal how a bookmaker really behaves.

Sarah Jenkins runs the data. She built and maintains the goals model behind our tips, and she is the reason every prediction on the site comes with a fair price attached. Between them they cover the two halves of a good betting site: trust and value.

Editorial Independence

We earn money through affiliate commission. When you sign up with a bookmaker through one of our links, we may be paid a fee. That fee never influences a rating, a ranking or a verdict. The commercial side and the review desk are kept firmly apart.

No operator can pay for a place on our list, a higher score or a softer review. Brands rank on price, payouts, features and honesty — nothing else. When our view of a site changes, the rating changes with it, regardless of any commercial relationship.

Odds and offers move quickly. We update pages on a regular schedule, but always confirm the current terms on the operator's own website before you place a bet.

We are reader-first by design. Every recommendation has to survive our own money and our own time before it reaches you. It is a slower way to build a betting site, but it is the only one we trust, and it is why we publish the reasoning behind each rating, not just the score.
