How We Rate Betting Sites

Every score on this site comes from the same 24-point audit. We buy in, bet, and time everything: then weight the results toward the things that actually change your returns.

Real Money, Real Bets

There is no shortcut here. We open an account with our own money on every bookmaker we rate. We deposit, we bet through a full weekend of fixtures, and we withdraw. Only then do we score it.

This is the only way to catch the things that matter: a bet slip that lags in-play, a cash-out button that spins, a withdrawal that takes four days when the rival paid in four hours. Marketing hides these problems. Real testing finds them.

We fund every account ourselves and accept no free bankrolls from operators, because a bookmaker that knows it is being reviewed behaves differently. Testing as an ordinary customer is the only way to see what you will actually experience on a Saturday afternoon.

What We Weight, and Why

Price is king. We log closing odds across hundreds of football markets and reward the sites that consistently beat the market. Over a season, a fraction of a point on every bet dwarfs any welcome bonus.

After price comes payout speed, cash-out fairness, bet-builder depth and offer honesty. A generous headline means nothing if the wagering is punishing. We score the value that survives the terms, not the number on the banner.

  • Price: closing-line value across hundreds of markets
  • Payouts: how fast withdrawals actually clear
  • Cash out: offered, and priced fairly
  • Bet builder: depth and same-game combinations
  • Offers: real value after the wagering rules
  • Safety: UKGC licence and responsible tools

No Pay for Placement

This is the line we will not cross. No operator can buy a ranking, a rating or a kinder review. We earn through affiliate commission, but that revenue is walled off from the scoring desk.

If two sites are close, the better product wins, not the better deal for us. When our view changes, the score changes, even when a brand pays us. That independence is the whole point of the site.

Independence also means changing our minds in public. If a top-rated site starts paying slowly or waters down its offer, its score drops: commercial deal or not. Ratings that never move are ratings you cannot trust, so ours are reviewed on a rolling basis and revised the moment the evidence shifts.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you actually place real bets?

Yes. Every rating starts with real money on a real account. Spec sheets do not tell you how fast a withdrawal clears.

See the results of that testing on our best betting sites page.

What matters most in your scores?

Price is weighted most heavily, followed by payout speed, cash-out fairness and offer honesty.

The same weighting decides our app ranking too.

Can a bookmaker pay for a better score?

No. Placement is never for sale. Commercial deals sit apart from scoring entirely.

Read more on our about page.

How often are ratings updated?

On a rolling schedule, and immediately when something material changes. A slow payout run drops a score fast.
